“I have always been interested in the intersection between democratisation and the media, and my research looks at how context and media interplay in the modern new media environment, specifically in the form of populist political communication. MeCoDEM approaches the media-democratisation nexus from an exciting comparative angle that allows a cross-cultural yet contextual view of the fight between elites and the people that will enlighten my own thesis. I am a research assistant in WP2 and co-coordinate the Early Career Researcher Network.”
